All of space is black. There are no stars or any planets.
There are no sounds. Only complete silence exists.
A small rock like formation comes into view. It appears only
the size of a pebble compared to vast emptiness of space.
Sparse amounts of white light emit from cracks in the rock.
The points of light become more abundant and brighter.
Suddenly, the rock explodes as the light completely
overcomes the rock.

ADAM’S BEDROOM - MORNING - CALIFORNIA - NEAR FUTURE
A man bolts upright in bed, disoriented, and sweating. He is
ADAM MEYERS, a handsome young scientist in his mid twenties.
He is in fit shape, but his eagerness for understanding has
led him to have a nervous habit of developing acute
migraines whenever he over comprehends.
Adam relaxes as he turns to gaze out the window by his bed.
He looks back down to at his beautiful fiance, SHARON
CORDERO, who also is in her mid twenties. Sharon often acts
as Adam’s conscience and strength.
Sharon slowly awakens and sees Adam.
SHARON
Did you have a nightmare again?
Adam is definitive.
ADAM
Yeah.
Sharon sits up in bed and reaches to comfort him.
SHARON
DNA scan confirmed. Access denied.
Do you want to talk about it?
ADAM
ADAM
Access denied?
There’s nothing to talk about. It was just a silly dream.
Adam places his hand on the panel again.
Adam pecks Sharon on the lips and gets out of bed.
COMPUTER
SHARON
DNA scan confirmed. Access denied.
Silly or not, you know you can always talk to me about
anything.
ADAM
ADAM
What’s going on? It must be broken.
I know. Gotta get ready for work.
SHARON
Adam swiftly pulls on the covers of the bed causing Sharon
to SHRIEK and almost fall out of it.
Let me try.
LOTRON CORPORATE BUILDING - MORNING - AERIAL SHOT
Sharon steps in front of Adam and places her hand on the
panel.
The Lotron Corporate Building sits at the end of a long
winding road inset on a hillside in California. Even though
the building’s facade is pleasant, it projects an ominous
feel from its towering size looking down on a residential
valley and the Pacific Ocean. The building protrudes into
the ground below and behind it.
COMPUTER
DNA scan confirmed. Access granted.
The door slides open showing a large filing room.
Sharon is smug as she glances over at Adam.
SERIES OF SHOTS
ADAM
A) Adam and Sharon drive in Adam’s new looking compact car
through a security gate and into the very crowded employee
parking lot of the Lotron Building.
I must have fixed it for you.
A security guard approaches Adam and Sharon.
B) Adam and Sharon pass through security portal doors in the
front of the Lotron Building.
C) Adam and Sharon wear lab coats as they walk along a
tunnel shaped hallway with a futuristic look to it.
GUARD
Dr. Meyers can you come with me, please...
SHARON
OUTER DOOR OF ARCHIVES ROOM - MORNING
Now you’re in trouble.
Adam and Sharon walk up to a solid steel door with the word
ARCHIVES written on it. Next to the door is a small panel
slightly larger than a human hand protruding from it.
Adam playfully nudges Sharon in her ribs.
GUARD
Adam places his hand on the panel causing a female
computerized voice speaks.
COMPUTER
You’re not in trouble, Doctor. You’ve been promoted. I’m
supposed to escort you to your new work area.

ADAM
I guess the big boss finally realizes my potential.

door at the end of the spacious corridor. The security guard
exits the cart and walks over to a hand scan panel next to
the blast shield door with Adam following closely behind
him.
Sharon steps to other side of the archives door.
GUARD
SHARON
Say hello to your uncle for me.
This is as far as I go. You’re granted access for the rest
of the way.
Sharon purses her lips to kiss Adam, but Adam is too slow to
react as the door slides closed in front of him.
The security guard hops back into the cart as Adam places
his hand on the panel.
ADAM
COMPUTER
I’ll catch up with you later.
DNA scan confirmed. Access granted.
The security guard remains stalwart.
Surprisingly, a hidden doorway adjacent to the blast shield
door slides opens instead.
ADAM
TOP CATWALK OF CYCLOTRON ROOM - MORNING
She’s crazy about me.
GUARD
Adam stands on the top level of a catwalk that encircles a
large cyclotron like a snake. He leans on the railing of the
catwalk to get a closer look at it.
Of course she is, Doctor.
ADAM’S POV
Adam heads down the right side of the hallway while the
guard remains standing by the door.
GUARD
This way sir.
Adam heads back toward the security guard and continues
walking down the left side of the hallway.
Adam sees a is cylindrical shaped steel structure that is
about three stories high with several opaque tubes spread
out on the floor of the cyclotron room connecting into
various ports on the lower portion of it giving it the
appearance of being overgrown with vines.
BACK TO SCENE
DR. FRANCISCO
SERIES OF SHOTS
Adam!
A) Adam and the security guard reach the end of the hallway
and enter into an elevator.
B) Adam peers out the glass plated side of the elevator as
the elevator rises to one of the highest levels of the
building.
Adam is startled and steps back from the catwalk as DOCTOR
ARTHUR FRANCISCO calls out to him. Dr. Francisco, is Adam’s
ethically challenged uncle who is a scientist in his late
sixties.
ADAM
C) The security guard, with Adam seated beside him, drives a
motorized cart down a wide spacious corridor away from the
light of the outside and into the depths of the hillside.
Doctor Francisco.
DR. FRANCISCO
OFFICE CORRIDOR - MORNING
Why the formalities?
The security guard drives the cart to a large blast shield

confidence and has a dangerous quality to him.
Well, I thought since we’re at work.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
(to Adam)
They’re pretty smart. I’m sure they’ll figure out we’re
family. Come take a walk with me.
This is one of my associates,
Dr. Cappano.
Adam walks with Dr. Francisco along the long spiraling
catwalk. Adam peeks through the thick glass windows of the
cyclotron.
Adam holds out his hand to shake Dr. Cappano’s.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM’S POV
(to Dr. Cappano)
Adam looks at the windows of the cyclotron that appear to
form two eyes and a sickly looking smile.
This is my nephew Adam.
BACK TO SCENE
Dr. Cappano sturdily shakes Adam’s hand.
ADAM
DR. CAPPANO
So what is all this for?
A pleasure.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam seems in slight pain as Dr. Cappano releases his grip.
It’s for it all.
Dr. Francisco taps a button on the holographic table causing
a three dimensional holographic image to appear.
ADAM
HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE
All what?
DR. FRANCISCO
A rock formation floats in space. Light appears in the
cracks of the rock until finally overcoming it and explodes
forming the beginning of the known universe.
All life as we know it. We are on the verge of not only
making history, but figuring out how it all started. Let me
show you something.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam seems to develop a headache.
Adam follows Dr. Francisco to a doorway alongside one of the
nearby catwalks.
DR. FRANCISCO
HOLOGRAPH ROOM - MORNING
Recognize it?
The door to the holograph room slides open as Dr. Francisco
and Adam enter into the small square sized room with only a
flat metallic table in the center of it.
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
So what does this have to with the big cyclotron out there?
I think this may clarify things.
DR. FRANCISCO
Standing in front of the holographic table is an attractive
scientist, named DR. CAPPANO, who oozes with extreme

Why would you want to duplicate it? In case you haven’t

A holographic image of illuminated dots appears.

It didn’t blow up. It expanded life as it was known back
then.
What are those?
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam glances over Dr. Cappano.
Gravitons.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
We’ve figured out how to expand life, but only the parts we
want. We need more natural resources, then we make them.
I got the idea from your thesis.
Okay, I must have been absent that day.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
My paper was on DNA structures.
We’ve never seen a tachyon because it moves so fast that it
is faster than light and can’t be captured by sight, but we
know it’s there.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco walks to the other side of the table.
Show him Dr. Cappano.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Cappano taps a button on the metallic table changing the
holographic image. A holographic image of an enlarged strand
of DNA appears.
Well we finally captured it and now we know what makes it
run.
DR. CAPPANO
ADAM
In your paper, you talk about how scientists are beginning
to manipulate strands of DNA in unborn human beings in order
to eliminate malicious genes such as ones that cause cancer.
Gravitons.
Dr. Cappano taps another button on the metallic table.
Exactly. Look at the bigger picture. Instead of a DNA strand
of a puny human, we are looking at one of
the universe. Watch what happens when this graviton strand
is made to form a continuous ring.

DR. FRANCISCO
One of the genes is eliminated from the image of the strand
of DNA.
Dr. Cappano presses a button on the metallic table.
DR. CAPPANO
A holographic image of the big bang replicates.
You go on to talk about how it may be possible one day to
completely manipulate human DNA to the point that people
could truly create the child they want.
LOWER TIER OF CATWALK OF CYCLOTRON ROOM - MORNING
ADAM
Dr. Francisco and Adam walk with Dr. Cappano following close
behind them along the catwalk at a NOISIER lower level of
the cyclotron room.
I still don’t see what that has to do with that giant
cyclotron out there.
Adam sees several power conductors filling the floor like
mines in a battlefield. They BUZZ loudly as electrical wires

lead out from them and into the base of the cyclotron.
ADAM

program the computer upstairs with the molecular strand we
need the gravitons to be in...then connect the graviton

And boom...you have a tree.

ADAM
A tree now, unlimited natural resources later.
Isn’t that highly unstable, not to mention dangerous.
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
Impressive,...but I don’t know.
Only if you’re not careful.
It sounds way too dangerous.
Adam follows Dr. Francisco as he walks further down the
catwalk.
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
So what exactly is going to be your first test?
Well, if it’s too dangerous then we should just give up now.
We can tell the investors of the Lotron Corporation that
their two billion dollar investment is just not safe.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
Our first test is going to be to duplicate the molecular
strand of a tree and see if we can create our own from
literally nothing.
I didn’t say that.
Dr. Francisco looks over at a middle aged haggard looking
scientist working on an electrical conductor.
Or maybe we should all go home to our tiny apartments with
our cute little girlfriend who’s only big aspiration is too
make little babies and big bills...for you.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco pokes at Adam’s badge on his lab coat.
Dr. McClury.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. MCCLURY is full of nervous twitches and always reeks of
alcohol while sweat permeates from him. He turns his
attention to Dr. Francisco and Adam.
Or we can do like Edison, Franklin, and the countless other
great scientists have done and take a risk.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
Could you explain this set up to my nephew Adam here.
I see your point. It’s just a big risk.
Dr. McClury wipes sweat from his brow. He nervously points
to electrical conductors connected to the cyclotron with
opaque tubing.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. MCCLURY
Adam seems to develop a headache as he looks at the
cyclotron.
These conductors will pull in tachyons and feed them into

tomorrow.
ADAM’S BEDROOM - NIGHT
ADAM
Sharon sits on a bed while scanning a group of files spread
out all over it. She sits up straight as she picks up a
document to study it more closely.
Uncle Arthur, do you have me on this project because I’m
your nephew?
SHARON
DR. FRANCISCO
(muttering)
I have you on this project because you are a brilliant young
scientist with immense potential.
You’ve got to be kidding me.
And we needed a replacement for Dr. Bell.
Adam enters the bedroom and plops down onto the bed beside
Sharon.
ADAM
ADAM
What happened to Dr. Bell?
So what do you think?
Dr. Francisco is reluctant to answer causing Dr. Cappano to
interject himself into the conversation.
SHARON
DR. CAPPANO
I think your uncle has finally lost his mind. You can’t tell
me you think this is a good idea.
Dr. Bell fell ill.
ADAM
Adam glances at Dr. Cappano.
I think it’s a highly conceptualized idea, but I’m sure
that’s what people said to great scientists like Edison,
Franklin...
ADAM
Well, I guess I’d better start looking these over. I’ll see
you tomorrow.
We’d better watch him closely. I don’t trust him.
SHARON
(interrupting)
Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano, and Dr. McClury seem uneasy as
they watch Adam head down the corridor.
Frankenstein.
DR. CAPPANO
Adam seems to fight off a headache as he looks into Sharon’s
doubtful expression.
Do you think he bought the story of what we’re working on?
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
He better have for his sake.
I also think my two time Nobel Prize winning uncle knows
what he is doing.
Dr. McClury pulls out a metallic flask from inside his lab

Yeah, he’s thinking about what shelf to put number three on.
First of all, it’s powered by plutonium which is highly

Adam surveys the files spread out on the bed.
Adam becomes more adamant as he holds up various documents.
SHARON
ADAM
I asked what you think about it, not what your uncle thinks.
And he’s totally twisting my work. I think he could wind up
wiping out half if not all the planet.
Adam does not respond.
SHARON
Adam slams the papers down to the bed and looks deeply into
Sharon’s eyes.
That’s probably why your uncle put you on the team.
SHARON
ADAM
You’ve got to voice your objection to him.
What is that supposed to mean?
ADAM
Sharon is defiant.
I will.
SHARON
SHARON
Your uncle probably chose you because he knows you won’t
voice any objections.
Now that’s the brilliant scientist I know and love.
Sharon purses her lips as she kisses Adam.
ADAM
HALLWAY - MORNING
How could I have been so stupid?
SHARON
Sharon and Adam walk in silence down a hallway of the Lotron
Building. She turns to look at him.
You’re not stupid. You just feel that way in front of your
uncle because you’re trying to impress him so much.
SHARON
How are you holding up?
Sharon reaches to comfort Adam.
ADAM
SHARON
Barely, but it’s got to be done.
You made it to where you are now because of you and not your
uncle. You don’t need him. He’s just using you.
Sharon grasps Adam’s hand with hers as they walk.
ADAM
SHARON
You’re right.
You’ll do fine. I have confidence in you.
SHARON
ADAM
Tell me what you really think of this project.
I’m glad someone does.
ADAM
Adam halts in his tracks as Sharon takes a few more steps
before turning around to look back at him.
I think this is the most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen.

Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury turn their attention to Adam
as he reaches them.
Adam radiates with warmth as he sees Sharon walks back to
him.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
We’re just about to get started.
Do you want kids?
ADAM
SHARON
Listen, I need to talk to you.
Okay, where did that come from?
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
Fiance problems?
Well, do you?
ADAM
SHARON
Uh, no...Listen I’m all for the idea with this, but I think
there’s a problem with this project.
Of course I would like to have children in the future.
ADAM
Dr. McClury’s face exhibits concern as he turns to Dr.
Francisco.
With me?
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Dr. McClury.
Sharon tugs on the opening of Adam’s lab coat.
DR. FRANCISCO
SHARON
Why don’t you start prepping in the control room and I’ll be
up there momentarily.
(playfully)
Dr. McClury seems nervous as he brushes by Adam to leave.
Of course with you. Do you want kids with me?
ADAM
ADAM
I want a marriage, kids, and a life with you more than
anything in this world.
I looked over the files you gave me...and I disagree with
some of the findings.
DR. FRANCISCO
SHARON
Really, like what?
Okay, well,...as you soon as you stop your mad scientist
uncle we’ll get to work on that.
ADAM
Sharon GIGGLES to herself as she lets go of Adam’s sleeve.
I think my thesis on DNA structures is being misapplied.
Adam watches Sharon head to the archives room.
DR. FRANCISCO
TOP CATWALK OF CYCLOTRON ROOM - MORNING
How so?
The door to the catwalk slides open as Adam steps out on to
it. Adam slowly approaches Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury who
Adam is reluctant to respond.

Well, for one thing, the diagnostics look backwards to me
like you’re taking away life not making it.
The cyclotron control room overlooks the cyclotron from
above it. Dr. Francisco, Adam, Dr. McClury, and Dr. Cappano
stand at a long computer console with a window above it to
observe the cyclotron.
DR. FRANCISCO
So, basically you’re telling me that all of these highly
educated scientists, including myself, are wrong.
Dr. Francisco pushes a button on the computer console
activating an intercom.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam stands tall as he CLEARS his throat.
Goggles on.
ADAM
Yes.
The scientists remove tinted eye goggles from their lab
coats and place them over their eyes.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
I guess I overdid it in my speech to you yesterday.
Activating electrical conductors.
Dr. Francisco clasps Adam’s shoulder tightly and angrily
glares at Adam.
Dr. Francisco signals to Dr. Cappano, who pushes a button on
the computer control panel.
DR. FRANCISCO
CYCLOTRON
Now listen to me, you cocky little shit. You will keep your
mouth shut and watch what real scientists do. Understand?
A LOUD WHIRRING sound emits from the cyclotron as another
cylinder spins around inside of it and light energy streams
through the multiple opaque tubes into the cyclotron.
ADAM
No, I won’t. I want to do something other scientists have
only dreamed of doing, but I’m not willing to risk billions
of lives for it.
Dr. Francisco studies readings displayed on the computer
screen.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco relaxes.
Ready to split tachyons.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco motions to Dr. McClury who pushes another
button on the computer control panel.
Okay. How about we make a compromise? You can monitor the
project in the control room with me and the first sign of
any problems, we stop.
CYCLOTRON
ADAM
A bright glowing light shines from the glass portions of the
cyclotron as the LOUD WHIRRING sound becomes faster with
small pixels of light bouncing around feverishly.
Alright. That’ll work for me.
DR. MCCLURY
DR. FRANCISCO
Tachyons split into gravitons.
Good. Now come and we’ll get this grand experiment started.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco leads Adam down the catwalk.
Forming the graviton strands.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - LATE MORNING

Dr. Francisco pushes the intercom button off as he looks
over at Adam.

And there won’t be any as long as we stick to the plan.
Okay, Adam, you get the honor.
Dr. Cappano is doubtful.
Adam pulls back on a small lever on the computer console.
SERIES OF SHOTS
SCIENTISTS’ POV
All in the room gaze upon the cyclotron as the gravitons
form a singular straight line. They quickly look over at the
computer screen as a red light flashes on it and makes a
HIGH PITCHED BEEPING sound.
A) Adam races down a hallway to the door of the holograph
room.
B) Dr. McClury impatiently checks his wristwatch.
ADAM
C) The graviton strand RUMBLES with massive energy flowing
through it as it sits in the cyclotron.
What’s wrong?
D) The display screen on the hand scan panel flickers.
DR. FRANCISCO
HOLOGRAPH ROOM - LATE MORNING
The holograph disc recording in camera number six is out.
The holograph room is a small room filled with several
shelves standing in rows lining it.
Adam relaxes.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam hurriedly searches through the holographic discs
looking for a blank one.
Can you be so kind as to get another disc in the holograph
room. It’s in the titanium sealed room so the discs aren’t
damaged from all the molecular activity.
ADAM
Adam turns and heads for the room door.
C’mon, c’mon. Where are you?
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam continues his frantic search.
Hurry up or you’ll miss it.
SERIES OF SHOTS
The door slides closed as the three scientists watch Adam
leave.
A) Small amounts of plutonium ooze from the electrical
conductors at the base of the cyclotron.
DR. MCCLURY
B) Adam looks up at the white fluorescent lighting in the
ceiling as it flickers.
(to himself)
He’s figured it out hasn’t he?
Dr. McClury nervously straightens out his lab coat.
C) Sharon and other scientists look around the archives room
as the lights and rest of the power flickers.
DR. FRANCISCO
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - LATE MORNING
Relax, doctor. He only thinks he has.
The lights and power flicker in the cyclotron control room.
DR. CAPPANO
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury look at the computer console and
the lights in room with expressions of concern on their

DR. FRANCISCO
The door to the cyclotron room slides open as Adam enters
into it. Adam’s face exhibits astonishment as he looks at
the damaged equipment and shattered window.
It’s only a slight power surge. It’s to be expected.
ADAM
Dr. Francisco checks his wristwatch.
Uncle!
DR. FRANCISCO
That should be enough time for him to have reached the
holograph room. Let’s proceed.
Adam sees no one. He races over to the broken window and
sees the cyclotron is badly damaged. Deep concern covers his
face.
Dr. Francisco depresses the intercom button on the computer
console.
ADAM
(to himself)
DR. FRANCISCO
Sharon.
Prepare for formation of the graviton ring on my mark.
Three...two...one...Now!
Adam turns and rushes out of the room.
Dr. Francisco presses a button on the computer console
SERIES OF SHOTS
The cyclotron spins around faster and faster to make the
gravitons form a complete ring.
A) Adam rips open the cover of the hand scan panel outside
the archives room and reroutes the wires underneath it
causing the door open.
DR. FRANCISCO
Success!
B) Adam rushes down the main aisle of the archives room and
scurries to a desk with Sharon’s name plate resting on it.
Dr. Francisco beams with pride as he turns to Dr. McClury
and Dr. Cappano.
C) Adam runs down an empty hallway of the Lotron Building.
Suddenly, a tremendous amount of white light BLASTS through
the windows of cyclotron causing Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano,
and Dr. McClury to cover their faces.
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) The blast shield door in the corridor is shredded to
pieces as it is bombarded with white light.
B) Several holographic discs fall from the shelves pelting
Adam as the holograph room rocks from the explosion of
light.
C) White light shoots out from the many windows in the
Lotron Building and goes off into various directions.
D) Adam hurries into his car in the parking lot void of any
people.
HIGHWAY - EARLY AFTERNOON
Adam stands outside his car in the middle of a highway
crowded with cars. He gazes at the roadway as he leans on
top of his open car door.
Adam turns to look behind him and across at the oncoming
lane of traffic that is also littered with abandoned cars.
ADAM
(to himself)
Where is everyone?
D) The Earth, as seen from outer space, is encompassed by
white light, which just as suddenly disappears.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - LATE MORNING
Adam walks away from his car and toward the side of the
road. He makes his way down the hillside of the road.

MONTAGE OF SHOTS

A) Adam watches the waves of the Pacific Ocean splash along
a beach cluttered with numerous beach blankets that have
been abandoned and only a few sea gulls flying above it.
Adam takes out a flat
box that is about the
bed. Adam pulls out a
box and slides one of
equipment, which is a
piece of electronic equipment from the
size of his hand and places it on the
handful of holographic discs from the
them into the side of the electronic
holographic player.
B) As Adam meanders through a park spotting a few dogs
scurrying around and BARKING for their missing owners.
A holographic image appears of Adam and Sharon sitting in
front of a Christmas tree exchanging presents.

SHARON
Adam staggers into his small bedroom and collapses face up
on the bed. He seems distraught as he stares at the ceiling.
I love it.
ADAM
Sharon leans over and kisses him in the holographic image.
I can’t believe this is happening.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam slowly turns his stare to a photo of Sharon and him at
the beach in a picture frame on top of a bureau. He gets out
of bed and walks over to the bureau.
He ejects the disc and places another one into the
holographic player.
Adam presses a button on the bottom of the frame with his
thumb.
A holographic image of Sharon taking a shower behind a
shower curtain appears.
SHARON
ADAM’S POV
(screams)
The photo becomes a short video clip with sound of the
moment the photo was taken.
Adam! What are you doing? I’m going to get you for that.
SHARON’S VOICE
BACK TO SCENE
You better put some sunscreen on or you’ll get sunburn.
Adam ejects the disc and places it along with the rest of
the discs back into the box. He gazes at the box of discs.
ADAM

(jokingly)
I can make things right again. I’ll bring you back Sharon.
I’m just trying to look good for you.
Adam exhibits determination as he gets of the bed.
SHARON
OFFICE CORRIDOR - LATE AFTENOON
Well in that case let me bury you in the sand.
BACK TO SCENE
Adam turns to the closet door next to the bureau. He opens
it and removes a shoe box on a shelf above the clothes rack.
He takes it over to the bed.
Adam sits on the floor in front of the blast shield door
that was shredded to pieces. Some of the floor is covered
with debris while the rest of it is covered with several
pages of documents. Adam looks over at a laptop computer
sitting next to him.
A laptop computer displays the diagnostics of the cyclotron.

(sarcastically)
I knew you had it backwards.
At least I won’t feel as bad risking yours.
Adam stands and carries the laptop computer over to the hand
scan panel. He plugs his laptop computer into the hand scan
panel and taps a few keys on the computer.
Adam removes a pair of dark goggles from his lab coat and
slips them on over his eyes. He pushes the button on the
computer console.

CYCLOTRON
SERIES OF SHOTS
LOUD CLANGING sounds are heard from the cyclotron as the
inner cylinder moves slowly inside of it.
A) Adam is in a radioactive protective suit cleaning up the
electrical conductors powered by plutonium.
ADAM
B) Adam is standing at the bottom of the catwalk with a hand
drill putting pieces of the cyclotron back together.
That doesn’t sound good.
CYCLTRON
C) Adam is inside the cyclotron sweeping up pieces of debris
with a broom and dustpan.
The LOUD CLANGING sound changes into a less noisy WHIRRING
sound as the inner cylinder spins more smoothly.
D) Adam glances at the night sky through the window of the
corridor as he walks past the damaged blast shield door
carrying a large sheet of metal.
Adam pushes another button on the computer console and looks
through the broken window of the cyclotron room.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
ADAM’S POV
Adam enters the badly damaged cyclotron control room. He
sets down his laptop computer on top of the damaged computer
console and connects them together.
Adam sees an already formed graviton ring floating in the
middle of the cyclotron.
ADAM
ADAM
Please work.
So far, so good. Now let’s try not to blow up the rest of
the planet.
Adam pushes a few buttons on the computer console causing it
to ROAR to life. He taps a few keys on the laptop computer.
Adam gazes at the cyclotron.
ADAM’S POV
The laptop computer displays a diagram of a strand of human
DNA with the name SHARON CORDERO next to it.
ADAM
The cyclotron seems to be staring back at Adam with its
upper windows appearing like eyes. The cyclotron gives the
impression of being even more menacing with its makeshift
repairs.
What if I’m wrong? I can’t risk her life.
Adam seems to have a headache. He types on the laptop
computer.
The laptop computer changes its display to show the DNA
structure of DR. ARTHUR FRANCISCO.
Adam slowly pulls the lever back causing the cyclotron to
accelerate even faster. He looks up at the ceiling lights
that are still operating as they flicker.

MEDICAL UNIT - NIGHT
Adam presses the button on the computer console.
The medical unit is a small rectangular shaped room with
cots filling up most of the room while cabinets and an
examination table take up the rest. Dr. Francisco seems
dazed as he sits in a jumpsuit on one of the cots.
CYCLOTRON
An EARPIERCING WHIRRING sound emits from the cyclotron as it
spins rapidly and splits apart the graviton ring.
Adam ducks behind the computer console as a brilliant flash
of light emits from the windows in the cyclotron. The flash
of light disappears and all is quiet.
Adam sits on the cot across from Dr. Francisco as he hands
him a cup of water and a small white pill.
ADAM
This should help clear your head.
Adam pulls off his goggles and pokes his head out from
behind the computer console. He stands seeing no visible
damage to anything around him.
BASE OF CYCLOTRON - NIGHT
A door slides open at the base of the cyclotron room as Adam
enters into it cautiously. Adam walks up to the base of the
cyclotron carefully stepping in between the sea of
electrical cable and opaque tubing filling the floor.
Adam pulls down a lever next to a hatch at the base of the
cyclotron causing an UNLOCKING sound to be heard. Adam pulls
on the latch of the door to open it releasing a cloud of
smoke from inside the cyclotron.
DR. FRANCISCO
The last thing I remember is the graviton ring connecting
and then a brilliant flash of light.
Dr. Francisco seems to become more focused.
DR. FRANCISCO
The next thing I know, you’re helping me out of the
cyclotron.
ADAM
Do you remember anything in between?
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
Uncle!
Adam enters into the bottom of the cyclotron. He remerges
from the cyclotron with his lab coat wrapped around the
naked body of Dr. Francisco walking beside him.
The only thing I remember was feeling like I was
floating...in cold darkness.
ADAM
Dr. Francisco COUGHS a few times.
Cold darkness?
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
(groggily)
Is everyone else all right?
Where am I?
Adam stands up from the cot.
ADAM
ADAM
Let me get you to the med unit and I’ll tell you all about
it.
We’re the only ones left.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam puts Dr. Francisco’s arm around his shoulder as he
leads him out of the cyclotron room.
You mean left in the building?

Dr. Francisco displays deviousness as he looks up at Adam.
Because the politicians were screwing everything up. They’re

DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
You finally figured it out. Of course we didn’t plan on
ourselves disappearing as well, which begs the
question...how did you remain?
Then why didn’t you just run for office yourself?
DR. FRANCISCO

The titanium sealed walls of the holograph room acted as
some sort of shield.
Because I’m not a politician and people would rather be told
pretty lies instead of the cold hard facts.
ADAM
A BEEPING sound is heard from a computer terminal on a
counter on the wall opposite the cots.
That’s not true.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
What’s that?
(stubbornly)
Adam heads over to the computer.
It is, so we decided to make our own government headed up by
the smartest people in the world.
ADAM

It’s the results of the biological scan I did on you to make
sure you’re alright.
A coup without an army. And you get to decide who’s worthy?
Adam taps a few keys on the computer as he studies the
information on the computer screen.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
Enough with this. Tell me how you figured out how to reverse
it? We hadn’t devised a plan for it yet.
Well?
ADAM

You mean you got rid of everyone without knowing how to
return them.
Your read outs are all normal...and compared to the results
from your last physical, nothing has changed. You’re still
sick and twisted.
Dr. Francisco turns away as he gets up from the cot.

That’s good to know.
We figured it would be easier to work on that once everyone
was gone and wouldn’t be bothering us.
Adam sits back down on the cot.

table of the holograph room. Adam swipes his hand across the
top of the table to clear off some dust and little pieces of
debris.
And it pulled me back from...wherever I was. So you can use
the same process to bring back everyone else?
Adam presses a button on the holograph table.
Adam pushes a button on the holographic table causing the
image to disappear. A sullen expression fills Adam’s eyes.

Not exactly. When I ran simulated tests on the computer for
multiple DNA strands, it kept yielding one entity containing
all of the characteristics of the DNA.
Basically, you used the principle of fusion to put together
the graviton ring causing a great amount of energy to be

Adam presses another button on the holograph table. The
graviton strand forms a graviton ring which emits immense
energy.
Well, that’s not acceptable.
ADAM
The energy, however, acted like some sort of back draft
pulling more energy back into the graviton ring.
And if I continue just to bring back one person at a time
figuring the amount of time it takes to run the process six
billion times...It should take about five hundred thousand
years.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco seems befuddled.
It pulled the energy of human beings into it because we used
your model of human DNA strand.
DR. FRANCISCO

Adam presses another button on the holographic table.
Adam heads to the door of the room.

graviton ring that was already formed and pulled it apart.
I’m surprised you didn’t bring back your little fiance

Adam stops and looks back at Dr. Francisco.

ADAM
Dr. Francisco watches the graviton ring be pulled apart into
a graviton strand.
ADAM
I wanted to make sure it worked first. I wouldn’t want
anything to happen to her.

A LOUD CLANGING sound is briefly heard from the cyclotron as
the inner cylinder moves slowly in it. It quickly subsides
into a quieter WHIRRING SOUND.
Adam turns his attention away from the computer console to
the door of the cyclotron room as it slides open and Dr.
Francisco enters.
DR. FRANCISCO
Is it supposed to do that?

I see you found better attire.
It sounded worse before.
Dr. Francisco looks down at his suit and pulls back his lab
coat as he glides his hand over his jacket lapel.
Adam pushes another button on the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
CYCLOTRON
I always kept an extra suit in my office for when I pulled
all-nighters.
An already formed graviton ring floats in the middle of the
cyclotron.
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
I guess you did that quite often.
Amazing.
Dr. Francisco steps closer to Adam and the computer console.
Adam pulls the lever back on the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
INSERT - CYCLOTRON
I thought I would observe your work.
The cyclotron emits a LOUDER WHIRRING sound as it
accelerates faster.
Adam turns his attention back to the computer console and
taps a few keys on the laptop computer.
The lights in the cyclotron room dim momentarily.
A display of Sharon’s DNA strand is displayed on the laptop
computer.
ADAM
You might want to step back.
ADAM
Adam presses the button on the computer console.
I uploaded the DNA data from my laptop.
CYCLOTRON
DR. FRANCISCO
So that way the computer knows who to pull out of the
graviton ring.
ADAM
An EARPIERCING WHIRRING sound is created as the cyclotron
spins rapidly and splits apart the graviton ring.
Adam remains steadfast while Dr. Francisco ducks behind him
as a brilliant flash of light emits from the windows in the

Dr. Francisco and Adam put on their tinted goggles as Adam
presses a button on the computer console.

The door to the base of the cyclotron room slides open as
Adam hurries into it with Dr. Francisco walking gingerly
behind him.

Dr. Francisco turns and hurries to the door of the room.
Adam and Dr. Francisco show amazement as they see Sharon’s
naked body laying curled up in the fetal position on the
floor.

Uncle.
(softly)
Sharon.
As Dr. Francisco reaches the doorway he turns around to face
Adam.
Adam steps into the cyclotron.
ADAM
Dr. Francisco steps up to the door of the cyclotron to get a
closer look.
(sternly)
Wait for me before you try to bring anyone back.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
Amazing.
SHARON
Don’t worry. Besides, I am a two time Nobel Prize winning
scientist.
(groggily)
Dr. Francisco leaves as Adam readjusts his weight to support
Sharon who MOANS.

MEDICAL UNIT - NIGHT
Adam places his lab coat around Sharon.
ADAM
Adam sits on a cot next to Sharon who is now clothed in a
jumpsuit as she digests a white pill with water.
Everything is fine. Don’t worry.
ADAM
SHARON
Better?
Adam,...what’s going on.
Sharon tries to clear her mind.
Dr. Francisco backs away from the door of the cyclotron as
Adam and Sharon step out of it.
SHARON
Much better.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam kisses Sharon on the lips.
Simply amazing.
SHARON

What was that for?
I’m going to get her to the med unit.
ADAM

I still can’t believe it’s just the three of us on the
entire planet.

Sharon purses her lips and pokes Adam’s shoulder.
I’ve been working nonstop since this morning trying to fix
this mess. I guess I should try to grab some sleep.
SHARON
Sharon grabs Adam by his shirt collar and pulls him closer.
(angrily)

I told you your uncle’s idea was insane.
I guess I can sleep later.
Adam gently grasps Sharon’s finger jabbing him in the
shoulder.
Sharon purses her lips and kisses Adam as they embrace.

I’m glad I listened to you or else I would have been zapped
too and nobody would be coming back.
A) Dr. Francisco stands in front of Adam’s laptop computer
in the cyclotron control room as he taps keys trying to
unlock the password.
SHARON
B) A light blanket somewhat covers Sharon and Adam as he
lays on top of her while having sex.
Isn’t it dangerous leaving your uncle alone since he’s
trying to take over the world now?
C) A sinister smile fills Dr. Francisco’s face as he gazes
at the laptop computer screen.
ADAM
MEDICAL UNIT - LATE MORNING
No, it should be safe. He needs a password to get into my
laptop.
Sharon SIGHS LOUDLY as she reclines on the cot behind Adam.
Adam and Sharon sleep while cuddled on the cot. Adam slowly
awakens. He bolts upright in bed upon seeing the lights
flicker. He looks over at a digital clock hanging on the
wall.
ADAM
10:30 AM
So did you feel cold darkness too?
SHARON
Sharon wakes and sits up on the cot. She reaches to Adam as
he gets dressed.
No, not at all. It was a warm comforting feeling.
SHARON
And it was bright. A bright white light.
What’s wrong?
ADAM
ADAM

My uncle must have figured out my password and now he’s
using the cyclotron.

The lights flickered just before it happened. It must use so

I brought back the scientists we need to resolve the
problem.

Adam glances over at the guards.
Yeah, unstable energy. I better stop him before he destroys
what’s left on this planet.
Sharon gets off of the cot and wraps the blanket around her
body.
ADAM
And the guards?
DR. FRANCISCO
SHARON
I thought it would be good for protection.
Well, I’m going with you.
A headache seems to overcome Adam.
Sharon hurriedly gets dressed.
ADAM
BASE OF CYCLOTRON - LATE MORNING
Protection from whom?
Adam enters the base of the cyclotron room with Sharon
following close behind him. Adam emits surprise upon seeing
several scientists, including Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury,
and a handful of guards standing at the base of the
cyclotron along with
DR. FRANCISCO
Anyone who’ll try to stop us?
Dr. Francisco.
Adam and Sharon appear concerned as they look at one
another.
ADAM
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to the door of the
cyclotron that is being opened by Dr. McClury.
(calling)
DR. FRANCISCO
Uncle.
(calling)
Dr. Francisco turns to see Adam and Sharon enter the room
and make their way to him.
Welcome back, Johnson.
DR. FRANCISCO
Suddenly, a human looking blob bounds out of the cyclotron.
Several scientists SHRIEK in horror as the blob grabs
Did you get some sleep?
Dr. Francisco.
ADAM
I see you broke my password.
DR. FRANCISCO
The guards rush to Dr. Francisco’s aid and pull the blob
like man off of Dr. Francisco. They push the blob up against
the cyclotron.

Sharon reflects irritation as she listens to Dr. Francisco.
(yelling to the guards)
DR. FRANCISCO
Shoot it! Shoot it!
(angrily)
The guards draw their weapons and FIRE lasers several times
at the blob like man. Its body dematerializes and collapses
into a pile of ashes.
Don’t be so judgmental. He was a scientist and he knew the
risks.
Everyone in the room encircles the pile of ashes.
Adam steps in between Sharon and Dr. Francisco.
DR. MCCLURY
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Adam.
Poor Johnson.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. McClury seems edgy. He wipes his brow of sweat.
For your sake, you had better learn how to control your
fiance.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco straightens out his lab coat.
Someone make a note that it’s a good idea to let the
cyclotron cool down after the fifteenth consecutive use.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco looks up from the pile of ashes and addresses
everyone.
If you ever want to be a successful scientist, you are going
to have to learn to take some risks.
DR. FRANCISCO
Now if you don’t mind, I’m hungry.
I think this is a good time for a lunch break. Why don’t we
adjourn to the cafeteria.
Some of us have been working all day.
Most of the scientists and guards exit the room.
SHARON
That’s all you have to say?
Dr. Francisco marches out of the room with Dr. McClury and
Dr. Cappano following close behind him.
Sharon attempts to pursue Dr. Francisco, but is grabbed from
behind by Adam who also covers her mouth with his hand to
prevent her from further debate.
Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Sharon with Dr. McClury
and Dr. Cappano standing behind him.
HALLWAY - AFTERNOON
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam and Sharon walk down a hallway of the Lotron Building
with Dr. Francisco and the other scientists much further
ahead of them.
What do you want me to say? Should I give a eulogy?
SHARON
Sharon pokes Dr. Francisco’s chest.
So now what do we do?
SHARON
ADAM
You could show some heart. The man probably had a family.
We need to look more into this project.
DR. FRANCISCO
And that family is still lost in somewhere unknown.
Sharon and Adam notice Dr. Cappano glance at them. Sharon
quickly grasps Adam’s hand and nestles close to him to avert

We’re going to bring back the most productive members of
society first and so forth down the line.
Not after what we just witnessed.

Sharon comes to a stop causing Adam to halt as well.
Are you are bringing back everyone eventually?
ADAM
Dr. Francisco hesitates to answer momentarily.
I don’t like the idea of you going by yourself.
DR. FRANCISCO
SHARON
We don’t feel it would be beneficial to bring back armies
that may want to seize power for themselves, or convicted
criminals, or even primitive cultures.
I’ll be fine. Besides I know how to take care of myself.
Sharon and Adam’s hands gradually pull apart as Sharon
leaves down another hallway.
ADAM
It’s not your decision to make.
CAFETERIA - LATE AFTERNOON
DR. FRANCISCO
The cafeteria is a spacious room with several long
rectangular tables and benches. A view of the valley and
ocean can be seen through one of the walls compromised
entirely of a window.
Listen, you’re my family and soon so will Cheryl.
ADAM
Adam walks over to the far end of the table away from Dr.
Francisco and the other scientists. He fiddles with the food
on his tray.
Sharon.
Dr. Francisco gets up from his seat and joins Adam.
The point is I can only protect you for so long.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco looks down the table at the other scientists
who are conversing with one another.
DR. FRANCISCO
Are you going to be mad with me the rest of your time here?
Adam turns his head to see the same view as Dr. Francisco.

So you and...Sharon can either help us bring more people
safely back or...
A Dr. Bell documented his disapproval of your uncle’s
project.
ADAM

Dr. Bell is who I replaced. My uncle said he fell ill.
(interrupting)
SHARON
Be unproductive.
He fell alright. He fell out of the sixteenth floor window.
Dr. Francisco looks smug.
ADAM
Sharon glides her finger across the computer screen as she
reads.
Then I guess I’d better get back to work.
SHARON
Adam stands up from the table.
They declared it a suicide.
ARCHIVES ROOM - AFTERNOON
Sharon swivels in her chair to turn to Adam.
The archives room is a spacious rectangular shaped room
lined with book shelves containing holographic discs. The
far wall of the archives room is split into two levels
containing multiple desks with computer terminals. Sharon
sits at her desk on the lower level.
SHARON
Sharon squints as she reads her computer screen. She looks
up at Adam approaching her.
We have to stop him.
Adam,...your uncle had him killed.
ADAM
SHARON
SHARON
But how?
I’m surprised you were able to get in.
ADAM
ADAM
I don’t know. For now we’ll have to play along.
I hot wired the hand scan panel.
ADAM
Adam sits on the edge of Sharon’s desk and looks at the
computer screen.
Keep digging and see what you can find. I’ll go back
upstairs and work on bringing more people back.
ADAM
Find anything?
Sharon reaches to Adam. They look at each other with
concern.

Dr. Francisco turns his attention to Dr. Cappano.

her away from Adam.

Dr. Cappano glides his hand through his slick hair.
We have a chance here to run the world the right way.

Yes, and Adam is the key to that. He understands this
project better than any of us.
The rest of you keep working on figuring out how to bring
back multiple people at once.
The scientists adjourn.

Adam leans on the holograph table observing a holographic
image of the cyclotron.

Dr. Francisco enters the room and walks up beside Adam.

Sharon stands up from her desk as she shuts down her
computer. She removes a compact disc from the computer and
slips it into her pocket.

Sharon scoops up a bunch of other discs. She lets out a
small SCREAM as she is startled by Dr. Cappano.

ARCHIVES ROOM - LATE AFTERNOON
What, this old thing? I’m sure I could help you slip into
something more comfortable.
Sharon sits at her desk in the desolate archives room. Her
eyes follow the text displayed on the computer screen.

Dr. Cappano reaches out to the zipper on Sharon’s jumpsuit
and pulls it down slightly causing Sharon to pull away from
him.

Dr. Cappano easily catches Sharon’s arm as she swings it at
him and twists it behind her back. He forcefully kisses her

DR. CAPPANO
The lights flicker in the room as Dr. Cappano breaks off the
kiss and YELPS in pain from Sharon biting his lip.

Dr. Cappano reaches out to Sharon causing her to shrug away
from him.
Sharon frees herself from Dr. Cappano’s grasp and runs
toward the door of the archives room.
HALLWAY - EVENING
DR. CAPPANO
That an intelligent and beautiful scientist such as yourself
is stuck down here in this stuffy place.
Adam heads down the hallway just outside the archives room.
He reaches the intersection of the hallway and a scantily
clad attractive woman darts in front of him.
SHARON
The woman radiates playfulness as she SHRIEKS with one of
the scientists chasing after her.
I actually like it down here. It’s quiet and peaceful.
Adam is bewildered.
DR. CAPPANO
ADAM
And we have it all to ourselves.

Dr. Cappano attempts to kiss Sharon.
Sharon tries to slide away, but is blocked by Dr. Cappano.
Adam rounds a corner of the hallway and bumps into Dr.
Cappano who is holding a handkerchief to his bloody lip.

You do realize you are the only woman here among all of us

What happened to you?
DR. CAPPANO

I just got it on with that girl from archives. Apparently,
she likes it rough.

Adam grabs Dr. Cappano and shoves him up against the wall.

Cappano kneels and holds his arm against Adam’s throat to
hold him down to the floor.

Hey, Adam. What’s up?
ADAM

Relax! I didn’t know. I guess your fiance is taking
advantage of the fact that she’s the only girl here.
I didn’t mean to interrupt you and...your wife.
Dr. Cappano stands.

The lights flicker as Adam sits up and grasps the panties.

MEDICAL UNIT - EVENING
I hate when that happens.
Adam enters the medical unit while rubbing the cut on his
forehead from the head butt by Dr. Cappano. He is surprised
as he sees Dr. McClury sitting on one of the cots kissing a
young attractive woman.
Dr. McClury seems perplexed as he scans the medical unit for
band aids.

Oh, I’m sorry.
Adam looks over at a counter where Dr. McClury is pointing.
Dr. McClury breaks off his kiss with the woman.

Adam pulls out the white panties that Dr. Cappano claimed
belonged to Sharon from the inside pocket of his lab coat.
He notices that they are the same kind the woman is wearing.

DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
I already have. And it’s mainly due to Adam.
(calling)
SHARON
Dr. McClury.
We’ll stop you.
Dr. McClury breaks off his kiss with woman and looks over at
Adam.
Dr. Francisco LAUGHS as he cautiously approaches Sharon.

Sharon lowers her hand holding the disc.

The door to the holograph room slides open as Sharon hurries

The door to the cyclotron room slides open as Sharon reaches
it with her back facing it. Suddenly, Dr. Cappano grabs
Sharon from behind and plunges a hypodermic needle into her
neck.
At least that’s improved.
Dr. Francisco pushes another button on the computer console.
Sharon slumps unconscious into Dr. Cappano’s arms.
CYCLOTRON
DR. FRANCISCO
An already formed graviton ring floats in the middle of the
cyclotron.
Take care of her.
Dr. Cappano hoists Sharon over his shoulders.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - EARLY EVENING
The lights flicker in the room as Dr. Francisco pulls the
lever back on the computer console.
The door of the cyclotron room opens as Adam enters into it.
The cyclotron accelerates even faster. A LOUD CLUNKING sound
is heard coming from within it as the dividers rip off the
walls of the cyclotron.
Dr. Francisco is standing at the computer console along with
Dr. McClury.
Adam and Dr. McClury rush to the broken window of the room
to check on the cyclotron.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
I heard you bumped your head. Are you alright?
(to Dr. Francisco)
ADAM
Shut it down!
Yeah, it’s nothing.
Adam and Dr. McClury cover their eyes and turn away from the
cyclotron as a brilliant flash of light emits from the
window of the cyclotron before Dr. Francisco can comply with
Adam’s request. The room becomes silent as the light
disappears.
DR. FRANCISCO
Well then, come over here. We’re about to test your work
bringing multiple people back.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
What happened?
Wait! I wasn’t finished with my calculations.
Adam and Dr. McClury look back down at the cyclotron.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
That’s alright. Dr. McClury finished it up for you.
The dividers were ripped apart.
Dr. McClury exudes with confidence as he looks over at Adam.
We’d better check out the damage.
Dr. Francisco places his tinted goggles on with Adam and
Dr. McClury following suit. Dr. Francisco pushes a button on
the computer console.
Adam hurries to the door of the cyclotron room.

Dr. Francisco glances over at Dr. McClury who seems
bewildered.

Scientists huddle around the base of the cyclotron trying to
figure out what went wrong.
The door at the bottom of the cyclotron room opens as Adam
rushes in with Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury following
behind him.
DR. FRANCISCO
We’ll try again tomorrow.
Dr. Francisco makes his way through the scientists and
guards to the door of the room.
A THUNDEROUS BANG is heard coming from inside the cyclotron.
Adam hurries to catch up to Dr. Francisco.
DR. MCCLURY
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - EARLY EVENING
What the hell was that?
The door to the bottom of the cyclotron room is opened as a
handful of guards hurry into the room. The guards draw their
weapons as they gather in front of the door to the
cyclotron.
Dr. Francisco is shutting down the equipment in the
cyclotron control room as Adam enters into it.
ADAM
Who were those people?
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
Open the door slowly.
Nobody important.
A guard slowly pulls open the door of the cyclotron. He
cautiously peeks into the cyclotron.
ADAM
Suddenly, two pairs of arms grab him and pull him into the
cyclotron. The guard’s SHRIEKS are heard coming from inside
it.
They were important to somebody.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
(shouting)
Not if you care about your fiance’s safety.
Don’t shoot the cyclotron! Wait until it comes out.
ADAM
The guards ready their guns as a monstrous looking thing
comes out that looks like two people were smashed together.
The thing lets out a loud ROAR.
What did you do to her?
The guards open FIRE on the thing causing it to SCREAM. The
thing dematerializes and collapses into a pile of ashes.
Nothing...yet. It will stay that way until you complete this
project.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
(to the guards)
Where is she?
Good work men.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. McClury takes a swig from his flask.
She is being kept somewhere safe for now. Don’t worry I’m
sure Dr. Cappano will take very good care of her.

ADAM’S POV
The cyclotron appears as if it is looking back at Adam with
a sinister expression on the face of it.
Dr. Cappano steps closer to Sharon’s cage and kneels down in
front of it.
DR. CAPPANO
ANIMAL LAB - EARLY EVENING
(softly)
The animal lab is a small rectangular sized room with
several metallic cages stacked on top of one another
containing various animals including dogs, mice, and monkeys
remaining relatively quiet.
You know it doesn’t have to be this way.
Sharon wipes tears welling up in her eyes.
Sharon lays curled up in the fetal position unconscious in
one of the bottom cages. Sharon slowly wakes to see she is
locked in a cage.
DR. CAPPANO
Sharon is only able to sit up in the small cage. She looks
down at herself wearing only her white bra and panties.
SHARON
You just have to cooperate.
(quietly)
DR. CAPPANO
Okay.
Look who’s finally awake.
Sharon looks outside the cage to see Dr. Cappano sitting on
top of the operating table with her jumpsuit folded neatly
next to him as he gawks at her. She pulls her knees up to
her chest and folds her arms on top of them to cover
herself.
Dr. Cappano stands and reaches behind one of the cages. He
pulls out an electric prod stick. He knocks it against one
of the cages causing a SPARK.
DR. CAPPANO
Just so you don’t think of trying anything.
SHARON
DR. CAPPANO
Dr. Cappano unlocks the door to Sharon’s cage. He pulls
Sharon out and aggressively kisses her. Dr. Cappano shoves
Sharon up against the stacked cages causing the animals to
be RILED.
To keep your boyfriend in line.
Sharon reaches up to the cage above her.
SHARON
Dr. Cappano pulls Sharon away from the cages and pushes her
back against the operating table.
Why are you doing this to me?
You mean so he’ll do your dirty work.

Sharon grabs her clothes and gets dressed. As she attempts
to escape the room, Dr. Cappano grabs her and rips part of
her clothes.
What happened to Dr. Cappano?
Sharon picks up the electric prod stick.

lit corridor. He shows glee as he sees Sharon running

Dr. Francisco slams his hand on the holographic table as
watches a holographic image.

The holographic image of the cyclotron rips apart.

Adam and Sharon run to one another and embrace.

A holographic image is displayed of the cyclotron with tubes
coming out of the bottom of it feeding into the floor and
below into the warehouse.
I hope so. I just want this nightmare to be over.

It’ll be over soon.

If we feed lines from the cyclotron down into the warehouse,
we can avoid the cyclotron ripping apart any kind of
partitions inside of it.
I sometimes dream of what is was like before you brought me
back.
Dr. Francisco ponders Adam’s idea.
Sharon snuggles her body closer to Adam’s.

And this way you can still separate the graviton ring into
separate strands.
It was so peaceful and pleasant. I felt like I was floating
high above the clouds in the bright sunlight.

Adam turns his attention to the doorway of the medical unit
as he sees Dr. McClury enter.

Be careful.
I will. And you stay out of sight.
DR. MCCLURY
Adam leans forward and kisses Sharon on the lips.

Adam types on his laptop computer as the door to the
cyclotron control room slides open with Dr. Francisco
entering into it.

Dr. Francisco puts a radio communicator on top of the
computer console.
Adam relaxes as he stands up from the cot.

STORAGE WAREHOUSE - EVENING
SERIES OF SHOTS
A) The acceleration of the cyclotron causes and EARPIERCING
WHIRRING SOUND as the graviton ring splits apart.
The large spacious warehouse is now filled with scientists
and guards helping people get dressed. Dr. McClury converses
with one of the men who just returned, named Tyler, as he
gets dressed.
B) Multiple graviton strands feed through the tubes at the
base of the cyclotron.
TYLER
C) Intense light flashes in the storage warehouse revealing
about thirty people lying naked on the floor as the
scientists rush over to them.
That’s an incredible story.
Dr. Francisco picks up the radio and speaks into it.

Dr. Francisco listens to VOICE OVER Dr. McClury on the
radio.

uh...prepare to bring more people back.
Guard, hand over your weapon. We need it for official

I’m sorry doctor. I’m not permitted to just hand over...
Okay, well, good meeting you.
Dr. McClury appears more nervous as he hurries toward the
exit of the warehouse.
Suddenly, Dr. Cappano comes up on the side of the guard and
slugs him in the face with his fist. Cappano leans over the
unconscious guard and takes the gun from his holster.
OFFICE CORRIDOR - NIGHT
Dr. Francisco and Dr. McClury are bewildered upon seeing Dr.
Cappano’s disheveled appearance.
Dr. Francisco looks joyful as he swaggers down the office
corridor away from the cyclotron room.
DR. MCCLURY
Only a lone guard is on duty in the office corridor.
What the hell happen to you?
Dr. McClury hurries down the corridor towards Dr. Francisco.

Dr. Francisco heads back to the cyclotron room with Dr.
Cappano and Dr. McClury in tow.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Dr. Francisco, Dr. Cappano, and Dr. McClury enter the room.
DR. FRANCISCO
Dr. Francisco aims the gun at Adam.
He thinks he outsmarted me. Me?
ADAM
Dr. Francisco radiates with anger.

Dr. Francisco hands the gun to Cappano.
DR. FRANCISCO
DR. FRANCISCO
Nice try. I know you brought back an entire police force.
What makes you think they’re going to arrest us?
(to Cappano)
ADAM
Show him how Dr. Bell had his accident while I prepare to
bring back our army.
They’ll arrest you for murdering Dr. Bell, treason, and
conspiring to rid the world of billions of people.
Adam is dragged away in the clutches of Dr. McClury and
Dr. Cappano.
DR. FRANCISCO
OFFICE CORRIDOR - NIGHT
You make it sound so bad. It’s all for a good cause.
ADAM
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury lead Adam down the office
corridor away from the cyclotron room.
Yeah, your cause.
DR. CAPPANO
DR. FRANCISCO
It’s too bad about your little fiance. I was hoping to get
to...know her better.
You know, I’ve tried to cut you some slack because you’re my
nephew,...but I think it’s time for some tough love.
The door to the room slides open as Sharon darts inside and
over to Adam.
Adam shoves Dr. McClury to side into the wall and tackles
Dr. Cappano into the opposite wall.
Dr. Cappano hits Adam on the back of his head with the gun
causing Adam to drop to the floor.
SHARON
DR. CAPPANO
Adam!
(to McClury)
Sharon jumps into Adam’s arms as Dr. Francisco FIRES the
gun. The laser from the gun dematerializes Sharon into a
pile of ashes.
Pick him up!
Dr. McClury yanks Adam to his feet.
A look of horror overcomes Adam as he gazes at Sharon’s
ashes.
Dr. Cappano points the gun at Adam as they continue walking.
He lunges at Dr. Francisco knocking him against the wall.
DR. CAPPANO
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury grab Adam and pull him off of
Dr. Francisco.
Maybe we’ll just finish you here instead...
ADAM
Suddenly, the guard from before comes around the corner and
punches Dr. Cappano in jaw knocking him unconscious to the
floor.
I swear to God, you’ll pay for this.
Adam struggles to free himself.
Adam shoves McClury again and knocks him out as well with a
punch.
DR. FRANCISCO
The guard picks up the gun from the floor and glares down at
Dr. Cappano.
Your mother would be so disappointed.

I’m doing what you wanted me to do all along.
How do you like getting sucker punched?
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
What do you mean?
Nice shot.
ADAM
GUARD
I’m taking a great risk.
What the hell is going on here?
Dr. Francisco seems worry as he gazes at Adam pressing a
button on the computer console.
ADAM
You need to get as many guns as you can from the security
room and give them to the police that we’re just brought
back.
The cyclotron activates making an already formed graviton
ring appear inside of it.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam glances down at Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury.
I don’t understand what you’re doing.
ADAM
ADAM
And round up all of these lunatic scientists.
I guess you’re not as smart as you think.
Adam turns and marches back up the corridor toward the
cyclotron room.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam, stop this at once!
GUARD
ADAM
Where are you going?
ADAM
Scientists over the centuries have made the greatest
discoveries by accident.
I need to make things right. Make sure you have your radio
on. I’ll be calling you to make sure it works.
Dr. Francisco becomes anxious.
ADAM
The guard turns his attention back to the fallen scientists.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Your greed for power has blinded you to the answer that has
been discovered to the most asked question ever.
Adam enters the cyclotron control room. He picks up a piece
of debris from the floor and WHACKS Dr. Francisco on the
back knocking him to the floor.
Adam pulls the lever on the computer console causing a LOUD
WHIRRING sound to be heard.
DR. FRANCISCO
Adam tosses the debris to the side and walks up to the
computer console.
What question?
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
What are you doing?
Does heaven and hell exist?
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO

You brought back Sharon.
I’m about to prove it.
Dr. Francisco radiates enthusiasm.
Adam presses a button on the computer console.
DR. FRANCISCO
An EARPIERCING WHIRRING SOUND emits from the cyclotron as
the graviton ring splits apart and a brilliant flash of
light encompasses the room.
Do you know what this means? You could bring back anybody
you want. Einstein, Lincoln,...the list is endless.
All is still as Adam picks up the radio from the computer
console.
ADAM
There’s also the other option.
ADAM
DR. FRANCISCO
It’s a basic science principle. Energy is neither created or
destroyed only transferred.
What other option?
Dr. Francisco stands.
Adam presses a button on the computer console activating the
cyclotron.
ADAM
ADAM
A person’s soul is energy. We just never knew where it
went...
until now.
Or I can send someone back.
Adam pulls the lever on the computer console.
Adam speaks into the radio.
DR. FRANCISCO
ADAM
What are you doing?
Guard?
Dr. Francisco glances over at the computer screen.
Adam looks deeply concerned.

STORAGE WAREHOUSE - NIGHT
Dr. Francisco shows immense fear.
The guard speaks into the radio.
DR. FRANCISCO
GUARD
Adam, no!
She’s fine.
Dr. Francisco turns and hurries out of the room.
The guard looks down at the naked body of Sharon lying on
the floor.
ADAM
A couple of police officers kneel down to aide Sharon.
Go to hell.
CYCLOTRON CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT
Adam presses a button on the computer console.
Adam seems relieved as he puts the radio back down on the
computer console.

A) A graviton strand bends to form a complete graviton ring.

B) A burst of light envelops Dr. Francisco as he runs down
the office corridor.
A) The policemen and guards flee the storage warehouse with
the scientists in tow.
C) The electrical conductors become unstable leaking with
large quantities of plutonium.
B) Adam and Sharon rush down a hallway.
Adam gazes at the cyclotron. He turns his attention to the
door of the room as it slides open.
C) Other people scattered throughout the Lotron building
rush to the exit doors.

PARKING LOT - NIGHT
Sharon.
Adam’s beams with joy as he sees Sharon enter. She rushes
into his arms.
Adam and Sharon hurry to the far end of the parking lot as
the BLARING of the alarm can still be heard. They run up a
small hill at the end of the parking lot and spot other
people exiting the building.
ADAM
ADAM
Why did you jump in front of me?
Over here!
SHARON
Because I love you.
The people look up at Adam and Sharon and head over to them.
As they reach them a LOUD EXPLOSION is heard from within the
Lotron Building.
ADAM
SHARON
After we bring everyone else back...we have to destroy this
along with any notes about it.
Look out!
Everyone ducks for cover on the ground and behind some cars.
Suddenly, an alarm BLARES and reds lights flash.
Adam glances over at the computer screen.
Part of the Lotron building CRUMBLES to the ground creating
a cloud of dust and debris.
SHARON
They all stand to their feet and gaze at the severely
damaged building.
What’s going on?
SCIENTIST #1
ADAM
(shouting)
There’s a plutonium leak in the electrical conductors.
Now what do we do?
SHARON
The people MUTTER to each other.
How do we stop it?
TYLER
ADAM
Everyone settle down. Now who’s in charge here?
We don’t. We have to evacuate.
Adam and Sharon look down into the crowd.
Adam grasps Sharon’s hand and leads her out of the cyclotron
control room.
Dr. McClury and Dr. Cappano are held in restraints by the

Well, he told me to what to do before.
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury seem bewildered as the crowd
complies with Adam.
Everyone looks up to Adam as the guard points to him.
TYLER
Adam and Sharon watch the crowd head back to the building.
Sharon turns to Adam.
(to Adam)
SHARON
Okay. What’s your name sir?
Maybe your uncle had the right idea. He just picked the
wrong scientist to lead.
ADAM
Adam beams with confidence as Sharon kisses his cheek.
Adam. Dr. Adam Meyers.

TYLER
Well, Dr. Meyers, what is our next plan of action.
Adam turns to Sharon.
ADAM
(whispering)

Just go with what you would do. You’ve been making a lot of
good choices lately.
Adam looks back down at the crowd.
ADAM
We need to clear that debris and rebuild the cyclotron so we
can bring back everyone else. And we need everyone’s help.
The crowd remains motionless as they stare at him.
Dr. Cappano and Dr. McClury exchange smarmy looks with one
another as no one moves.
TYLER
You heard the man.
